We don't think he would ever go back to wearing glasses

Derek Started wearing GVSS lenses at age 11. He is now 14 years old and is doing wonderful. We have noticed since the beginning that it is much easier for him with playing sports, not to have to wear anything during the day. We don't think he would ever go back to wearing glasses. Derek has become very responsible with GVSS.

Derek does everything on his own with the contacts, from putting them in his eye, to cleaning them and taking them out in the morning. I would have never thought this helped his vision, but it's been about 3 years and his vision has not gotten worse and he is doing great.

Doctor's Comments:

Monica's son, Derek was seven years old when he first started wearing eyeglasses. His father is very nearsighted. So as Derek's vision began to worsen every year, I recommended GVSS retainer lenses in an attempt to stop his vision from deteriorating further. Since that time, Derek has grown dramatically and has required changes in the size of his GVSS lenses, yet his vision has changed minimally! He's very active in football and enjoys not depending on eyeglasses or daytime contact lenses to correct his vision.
